Mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing are essential intangibles for a happy life; they are equal to, and perhaps even more important than, the symbols representing it. Yet modern society at-large appears to value all that is tangible, more and that which is not, less.

That is, not until someone becomes a danger to themselves or others. Only then is mental health noted as a concern. It doesn't have to be this way.

To admit mental or emotional challenges (to oneself at least) is the essential first step on a path to healing. Culturally, however, such issues are often not taken seriously at the early stages when they need to be; instead people are often misunderstood or written off as being weak, or by some other judgment.

Without addressing the body-mind as an inseparable component of wellbeing, wholeness eludes us.

Current cultural issues of loneliness, bullying, and emotional violence (blame) continue to be widely publicized. Yet the cultural memes that perpetuate them, (e.g. the disproportionate emphasis on status-seeking, competition and political and social correctness, etc.), seem to only gain momentum and remain unaddressed.

As a result, the individual is on his/her own to develop their inner resources and thrive despite assumed cultural concepts about what it takes to be healthy and happy (which are mostly of a material nature.).

Those who feel knocked down, debilitated in mind and soul, absolutely can heal and recover beyond expectations: self-determination makes it happen and cannabis used therapeutically for this purpose can make all the difference.
